Paper applications will NOT be accepted and are not available through the RIVER ROUGE HOUSING COMMISSION (RRHC). Upon closing of the enrollment period, the RRHC will conduct a random lottery of all applications and place selected applicants on the RRHC waiting list.
Upon completion of registration, please print your registration page. You may also write down your tracking number for future reference. After the enrollment period ends and we go through the randomly selected lottery process (May 29th), applicants can return to this page to check whether they were selected by clicking the “Search Existing Record” button to the right and entering the tracking number.

To successfully apply, you will need to provide the RRHC with the following information:
First and Last Names of all members of your household
Birthdate for all members of your household
Social Security Number for all members of the household
Gender of all members of your household
Disability status for all household members
Race and ethnicity for all household members
A valid mailing address
A valid phone number and alternate phone number
Annual Household Income. This includes, but is not limited to, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), business income, unemployment benefits, pension, wages, Social Security, General Assistance, Child Support and any other income received for all members of the household.
In order to meet RRHC’s eligibility criteria, please note the following:
Provide accurate information. Submission of false information or misrepresentation will result in disqualification from the lottery and may result in loss of eligibility to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher Program;
Only one application per household;
Applicant must not exceed the Very Low Income Limit.
